So you're thinking about moving your existing investment account into or out of The Big Exchange but need a little more help. Great news - you've come to the right place!
In this help centre article, we will give you the information you need to make your transfer go smoothly. We will also set the scene so that you know what to expect!
Depending on what you're looking for, you can click the links below which will take you straight to the information you need.

To make a transfer into The Big Exchange you need to have an account. The good news is you can open one and make your transfer at the same time! You can get to that journey by clicking here or any of the red sign up buttons on the site. Click open an account.
You can transfer in an ISA, a JISA, or a GIA. When opening your account you can click Start A Transfer.
The next page you will see is a form where you will be asked to complete your personal details; name, address, date of birth, contact information and National Insurance Number. We need this information to verify who you are and to legally set up your account.
On this page you will also be asked to set up your username and password. There are instructions to help you but we have an FAQ available on that here.
We will do all the transfer work for you, but we need a bit of information from you to help us. We need to know who your existing provider is, your account number with them, as well as approximate transfer amounts. If you are transferring an ISA or a JISA, we also need to know whether you have contributed to it this tax year, in previous tax years only, or whether both of those are true. This is so we can make sure our tax-year limit checks are in order.
If your existing provider is not listed in the dropdown, we can add this for you if you let us know here.
When you have filled out this section, select Continue.
You will be asked to review the Terms and Conditions as well as supporting account documents. It is important that you read and understand these. You can download them if you wish.
We also ask every customer for bank details. This is so we can confirm a valid bank account for you to withdraw your cash into and also for us to do a quick check to see if you are who you say you are.
Once you have inserted your bank details you will be asked to review your transfer. If you want to make any changes you can click on the edit icon in the top right hand corner. If not, you can complete your transfer and open your account.
We will now work with your current provider to process the transfer on your behalf. We will speak with your current provider on a regular basis and will keep you updated with progress.
Please be aware that Transfers are not all the same and the process can be different depending on which provider you are transferring across from.
For this scenario you must already be a customer on The Big Exchange. This is for when you want to transfer in another of your previous investment accounts from another provider onto The Big Exchange.
Log into your Big Exchange account here. On your investment dashboard which shows all your accounts, there is a card titled Transfers. Select the option on this card to Transfer in.
This card will also show you details of any current transfers that you have requested and their progress.
Next you will be asked whether the transfer you want to make is going into an existing account on The Big Exchange. For example, if you only have an ISA account on the Big Exchange and you want to transfer in a previous tax year's ISA from a different provider, you will want to click Yes and transfer it into your Big Exchange ISA. If you want to transfer in a JISA or a GIA, you would click No.

We know things change and relationships evolve but we are really sorry to see you go. If you're looking to transfer out there isn't much you need to do.
A transfer out is initiated by another provider (the company which you chose to start the transfer). Whomever you decide to transfer to will then get in touch with us with the details which we will check and validate before processing the transfer across to your choice of provider.
We will be on hand for any queries through your secure messaging portal.
